  • A new book about Roland's classics is on the way. Called R Is For Roland, the limited-edition, 384-page hardcover volume traces the history of 23 of the Japanese company's classic hardware bits, including the TR-808 drum machine, the Jupiter-8 synth and the RE-201 "space echo" delay unit. It features portraits of the machines by Tabita Hub, words by Michal Matlak (AKA The Analog Roland Orchestra) and Florian Anwander, the backing of Electronic Beats and interviews with artists like Plastikman, Mathew Jonson, Jeff Mills and Legowelt.
