- The producer-and-vocalist duo have signed to !K7, with an album on the way.
Midland has teamed up with singer Robbie Redway for a new project called AKASE, and the first single, "Rust," is due out in June.
AKASE was first announced two weeks ago when the duo signed to K7! with some A&R help from Will Saul. "Rust," which you can stream below, is the first taste of their upcoming album, and was co-produced by Ewan Pearson. "Having been writing for about six months on and off," the duo says, "'Rust' was the first track that truly clicked for us. It was the catalyst by which the album started to take shape and the AKASE sound started to form." The LP is due later this year.
