Decibel Festival announces first names for 2015

- Autechre and Marcel Dettmann are among the highlights of the Seattle festival's next edition.
- Decibel Festival, taking place in Seattle from September 23rd through the 27th, has announced its first wave of acts for 2015. The annual gathering is an important part of the Seattle dance music scene, throwing events all year in addition to the week-long festival it's been hosting since 2004. As usual, Decibel takes place at a number of nightclubs and venues in a few different neighbourhoods. There are also boat parties and a daytime programme that includes lectures, panels and workshops. This year, the festival will return to hosting its dB In The Park outdoor event at Volunteer Park in Capitol Hill. Some of the bigger names billed so far are Autechre (as part of their US tour), Daniel Avery, Marcel Dettmann, Alan Fitzpatrick and Julio Bashmore. The Black Madonna, DJ Tennis, Vril, Recondite, Agoria, Tin Man, John Tejada and Roman Flügel will hold down the house and techno fort, while Bonobo, Synkro and Clark are also booked. Justin Jay and Shiba San will rep Dirtybird, and as usual there's a good dose of talent from the Pacific Northwest, including Cyril Hahn, Archivist, Josef Gaard and Raica.
