  • Dark Entries will release three hard-to-find Italo disco records on June 30th. First up is Blue Russell's "I Wanna Fly Away." That track, made by the husband and wife production duo of Manlio Cangelli and Lorella Ghilardi, was originally issued in 1984 on Disco Magic Records. Ghilardi also contributed vocals on Clay Pedrini's "New Dream," which will also get another look thanks to Dark Entries. The song, which Pedrini conceptualized while on summer vacation, was Pedrini's only release. The third 12-inch is from another Cangelli and Ghilardi project, Wish Key. The Dark Entries record combines the group's 1983 single, "Orient Express," with their 1985 effort "Last Summer." Notably, "Orient Express" was originally intended for Blue Russell. The three releases continue Dark Entries' hectic 2015. The label, run by Honey Soundsystem member Josh Cheon, has dropped 11 records at the year's halfway point, including Lena Platanos's 1985 LP Gallop and a reissue EP of tracks by Yello member Carlos Perón.
