Blackest Ever Black turns five in London and Berlin

- Blackest Ever Black will celebrate five years of operation with parties in London and Berlin later this year. A crew of the label's main associates will play at each event. The London session, going down at ICA on September 26th, is looking like a more concert-oriented affair. Running from midday to midnight, composers Jac Berrocal, David Fenech and Vincent Epplay, who released Antigravity through BEB in April, share the bill with other live acts like Officer!, Dalhous and Ashtray Navigations. Longtime Blackest Ever Black associates Raime are locked in to DJ. The Berlin event will be held at Berghain on October 30th. Naturally, electronic sounds are the main attraction. Live sets will come from Raime, Prurient, Tropic Of Cancer and Diat, while Regis and Felix K handle the decks. The party will run alongside a PAN label night at the upstairs Panorama Bar, featuring slots from M.E.S.H., Lee Gamble, Objekt, Bill Kouligas and Josey Rebelle. Blackest Ever Black first emerged with a 12-inch from Raime back in September 2010. Its early releases were mostly centred around dark electronics sounds (Cut Hands, Regis and Tropic Of Cancer), but its scope has widened to include the work of bands like Dalhous, Weekend and Shampoo Boy.
