Gerd Janson has revealed details of a second Musik For Autobahns compilation for Rush Hour Music.
The collection will feature music from the likes of Bicep, Leon Vynehall, Fort Romeau, Disco Nihilist, Lauer and a rare production from Joy Orbison. The tracklist confirms that the ten tracks will be spread across two pieces of vinyl. Musik For Autobahns 2 arrives three years on from the first instalment. As with that release, it will focus on mellow, downtempo productions. A release date has not yet been set.
"First and foremost [the compilation] is truly inspired by many trips on the Autobahn between Frankfurt and Heidelberg," says Janson. "Going to and from one club to the other, was the way to spend countless hours of adolescence in excitement instead of tedious purposelessness."
