  • Discogs will start charging VAT on sales fees from its European sellers this Tuesday, September 1st. The European Union previously announced plans to start charging its Value Added Tax to third-party electronic services. The new policy includes the Discogs Marketplace and the fees it charges to people who sell their records on the website. With the new rules going into effect tomorrow, sellers based within the European Union will now be charged VAT for sales transactions fees each month (at their local rates), unless said vendor already collects VAT independently. For more information on the change and how it works within the Discogs system, check out their VAT FAQ.
