- The E06 and E07 are set to deliver a tighter, more detailed sound for the Danish company's modular headphone line.
The TMA-2 modular headphone system has expanded.
Both of the new additions come in the form of earpads. Though your choice of earpads on a pair of headphones might seem trivial, more about personal preference for style or feel than for sound, they can actually have an enormous effect on what you're hearing. (The testing for our recent TMA-2 review confirmed this.) That's the purpose of the new E06 and E07, according to AIAIAI. Made from Leatherette, "a paper thin PU leather material with excellent acoustic properties," the pads are meant to provide a tighter, clearer sound than some of the other options in the line. The E06 is an over-ear design made for critical listening, and the E07 is aimed at DJs looking for more sonic detail than they'd get out of the DJ-oriented E02.
