  • Amsterdam outfit Cartel will celebrate five years of events with a party at Melkweg in December. Cartel has been a key Amsterdam promoter for the past few years. Founded in 2010, it's hosted events in most of the city's main clubs, in addition to putting on the occasional open-air party. Organisers have locked in a heavyweight lineup for the upcoming birthday session, which goes down on Friday, December 18th. The international contingent features George FitzGerald, Levon Vincent, The Black Madonna and Prosumer & Murat Tepeli (who will play live). A solid homegrown cast includes Gerd and IInterstellar Funk. There are a few other events doing down at Melkweg before Cartel's birthday party, too. The Orb land on Wednesday, October 7th, after which Ninja Tune celebrates its 25th anniversary with Bonobo, Machinedrum, Leon Vynehall and Romare during Amsterdam Dance Event on Thursday, October 15th. A heavyweight techno lineup is locked in for another ADE session on the 16th, with Dave Clarke, Marcel Fengler and DJ Bone among the acts. You can also catch Cartel at Closure on Saturday, September 26th, when they host Serge for a Cartel Basement Series session.
