- The Amsterdam label has revealed details of its latest compilation, titled Walk Alone and due out in November.
Amsterdam's Music From Memory has announced full details of its next compilation, a ten-track LP showcasing the music of Philadelphia musician Napoleon Cherry.
Napoleon Cherry, AKA Cool Waters, is described by Music From Memory as a purveyor of "oddball funk." He privately pressed two LPs and an EP in the late '80s and early '90s. These records form the basis of Walk Alone, though there's also an unreleased track called "When You Had The Chance," which was recently issued on 12-inch in partnership with PPU. (Listen to that song here.) The compilation will come out in mid-November.
