Sam Shepherd will play gigs around Australia and New Zealand this summer.
Floating Points will return to Australia and New Zealand in December.
The visit will follow the release of Sam Shepherd's first album, Elaenia, which is due out November 6th on his new Pluto label. Since the LP was announced, Shepherd has embarked on a run of live dates with his newly formed 11-piece live ensemble. He'll be in DJ mode for this trip, kicking things off at Neck Of The Woods in Auckland on December 10th. He'll jet over to Sugar in Adelaide on the 11th, before heading to Meredith Music Festival on the 12th. Then it's the Coburg Cycling Velodrome in Melbourne on the 13th for Freedom Time #2, where support comes from Wax'o Paradiso, J'Nett and Ben Taaffe.
Perth's Urban Orchard is next up on the 18th, where the bill will be shared with Moodymann. Then he'll head to the Oxford Art Factory where Ben Fester, Adi Toohey and Karim will play across both rooms. Shepherd's visit ends with a show at The Foundry in Brisbane on December 20th with Percy Miracles, Gavin Boyd and Jimmy Ellis.
