Tokyo club Air will soon close its doors permanently.
The popular venue opened in Tokyo's Daikanyama district in 2001. In the 14 years since, it's become one of the city's best known spots for house and techno, booking top-tier international DJs from across the dance music landscape on a weekly basis. An announcement on Air's website explains that the upcoming New Year's Eve party will be its last, but provides no reason for the closure. Lineup details for New Year's Eve are still TBA.
