  • Tokyo club Air will soon close its doors permanently. The popular venue opened in Tokyo's Daikanyama district in 2001. In the 14 years since, it's become one of the city's best known spots for house and techno, booking top-tier international DJs from across the dance music landscape on a weekly basis. An announcement on Air's website explains that the upcoming New Year's Eve party will be its last, but provides no reason for the closure. Lineup details for New Year's Eve are still TBA.     It has been decided that AIR will see its final party on New Year's Eve. From all of the staff at Air, thank you so much for your support over the years. We will endeavor to bring you the best parties right up until we close. We look forward to being able to dance with you all again in a new space some day. We’ll dance together in the future!
