  • An Android version of Apple Music is now available. Since its launch this past June, Apple Music has become the second-place streaming service, with 6.5 million paying users to Spotify's 20 million. Up until now, though, the service was only accessible to iOS users, who, according to comScore figures cited in a Billboard article, account for 43.6% of the smartphone market. (Apple Music is also available through the desktop version of iTunes.) Now, with a fully native version of the service, Apple will have access to 1.4 billion new users and another 52.3% of smartphone users. From the monthly price ($9.99 / £9.99) to the three-month trial to, naturally, the music catalog, Apple Music will feature the same offerings on Android. The user experience, however, will be tailored to them. "It's a full native app, so it will look and feel like an Android app," says Eddy Cue, Apple's Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services in an interview with TechCrunch. "The menus will look like Android, you know the little hamburger they use on the top. It'll definitely feel very much like an Android app." As a global curator, Resident Advisor is a regular contributor of playlists to Apple Music. You can follow them here.
