  • Some of the victims in Friday's massacre at Paris venue Le Bataclan have been identified, with several music industry professionals among the dead. They include two employees of Mercury Records France: Thomas Ayad, 34, who was international product manager, and Marie Mosser, 24, who was a digital marketing executive. The others are 36-year-old Nick Alexander, who was working as Eagles Of Death Metal's merchandise manager at the time of the attack; Guillaume B. Decherf, 43, a music journalist for Les Inrockuptibles; and Universal Music France music industry marketing executive Manu Perez. More than 80 people were killed at Le Bataclan when gunmen entered the venue during an Eagles Of Death Metal concert on Friday, November 13th. It was one of five coordinated attacks in Paris that night that left 129 people dead. Universal Music Group boss Lucian Grainge sent a message to all UMG staff that read: "We, like so many around the world, are struggling with last night's horrific tragedy in France. Paris is in our thoughts and prayers. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims as well as our fervent wishes for healing for all of those affected by this senseless violence." As NME report, Le Bataclan released a statement on November 16th that reads: "[There are] no words sufficient to express the magnitude of our grief. Our thoughts are with the victims, the wounded and their relatives. You may to want to collect paraphernalia, unfortunately the authorities still need to work on site. We will keep you informed of when it will be possible to gather in front of the room. We thank you for your support, it touches us deeply."
