  • LANDR is coming to your desktop. Launched in 2014, the company offers automated mastering performed by an algorithm, done for as little as free (for a couple of low-resolution mp3s) up to $39 per month for unlimited 16 bit/44.1 kHz WAVs. The service had been entirely web-based until the launch this week of their new desktop app, which introduces some new functionality aimed at power users. It's now possible to bulk-upload to LANDR through the app, as well as bounce from your DAW to LANDR. The app syncs to the cloud, so masters are backed up automatically and accessible on other machines. Other features include the ability to compare mastered and unmastered versions of a track within the app and lots of dragging-and-dropping integrated into the workflow. Though most tiers of LANDR come for a fee, the app itself is offered as a free download.
