  • A new record shop called Sound Metaphors has opened in Berlin. The shop, which is located on Reichenberger Str. in Kreuzberg, opened for business on Monday, November 30th. Two Geneva DJs, Clara and Nemo, are behind the venture. "We wanted to create a simple and pleasant atmosphere with good acoustics and a good soundsystem," they told RA. The Sound Metaphors Facebook page thanks Hard Wax cofounder Mark Ernestus for helping out with the shop's soundsystem. Additional thanks going to another Hard Wax mainstay, DJ Pete, as well as Jason Spinks of London's Kristina Records. The posts on Facebook so far indicate that Sound Metaphors's stock includes new and used reggae, jazz, house, ambient and techno.
