  • Teenage Engineering revealed a new prototype synth, the OP-Z. The OP-Z follows in the footsteps of the OP-1, which offered five sequencers, a sampler, synthesiser and automated parameters. Teenage Engineering describe the OP-Z as supporting "dual domain synthesis with equal focus on video and audio creation," which should mean that users can send visuals to external screens. The OP-Z will also feature wireless connectivity and a multitimbral synth engine, while the sequencer can handle per-step modulation of pitch, timing and sequence flow. Further details are currently unavailable, but you can sign up for updates on the Teenage Engineering website. Teenage Engineering has also updated its line of Pocket Operator micro-synths.
