The deep techno producer takes in trip-hop influences on the 12-track LP, due out in April.
Dino Sabatini will release a new album titled Omonimo in April.
Omonimo will be Sabatini's second full-length, following 2012's Shaman's Paths for Prologue. The new LP lands on Outis Music, a label Sabatini founded in 2011, and launches a new series called Outis Opera. According to its press release, Omonimo features a relatively slow, trip-hop-inspired aesthetic, while still retaining parts of the classic Italian deep techno sound Sabatini helped popularise alongside the likes of Donato Dozzy and Giorgio Gigli. It comprises 12 tracks due out digitally and on vinyl on April 15th, and features two collaborations with Italian pianist Antonello Salis. A mixed CD will also be available.
Two Outis Music showcases are planned for the coming weeks and months. The first goes down at Tresor on February 27, featuring sets from The Gods Planet and Edit-Select The second is locked in for April 15th in conjunction with Morph and Informa. hosting Deepbass, RVO, Luigi Tozzi. Naturally, Sabatini will spin at both events.
