The likes of Rødhåd, Powell and Intergalactic Gary will also join us on the SónarLab stage in June.
This year Resident Advisor will host an official stage at Sónar Festival for the first time, taking over the SónarLab on Friday, June 17th.
SónarLab, one of Sónar By Night's outdoor stages, has hosted plenty of seminal performances down the years. We're delighted to be teaming up with one of the most important festivals on the calendar—for 23 years Sónar has positioned itself at the cutting edge of electronic music, pushing new sounds from across the globe.
On the RA stage, we've got two of techno's biggest artists—DVS1 and Rødhåd—paired for a joint set. Then there's Kerri Chandler, a towering presence in house music for more than three decades, and the first official back-to-back set from two of 2016's most in-demand DJs: Ben UFO and Helena Hauff. Live performances will come from Soichi Terada, whose archival collection on Rush Hour was our favourite compilation of 2015, and Powell and Lorenzo Senni, two fearless experimental artists, playing as Hot Shotz. Rounding out the bill is Intergalactic Gary, an unassuming yet masterful selector from The Hague, and Noaipre, a rising producer and DJ from Valencia.
Sónar has added a new batch of artists to its 2016 bill, including Richie Hawtin (who will perform a new live show), Ben Klock, DJ EZ, Bicep, Danny L Harle, Kaytranada, Mind Against and Awesome Tapes From Africa affiliate Ata Kak. They join previously announced acts like Jean Michel Jarre, ANOHNI, New Order, James Blake, Kelela, Kode9 and Four Tet at the festival, which is running from June 16th through 18th.
