  • Deep Space NYC will go down on Sundays instead of Mondays at Cielo, starting April 10th. The night has run for almost 13 years under the direction of DJ François K., an elder statesman in the NYC house music scene. (He spoke to RA's Jordan Rothlein for an Exchange podcast in December.) The weekly party will move from Monday to Sunday nights starting in the spring, just in time to coincide with its 13th anniversary party, though the lineup for that one is still TBA. They've announced a couple of guests leading up to that date, including next week's set from Busquelo, a purveyor of latin electronic music and resident of the Turntables On The Hudson parties uptown. On the 29th they'll have Ted Ganung, who runs the reggae label Dub Rockers. Check out a recording of François K. playing dub records at Dommune in Tokyo from late last year below.
