  • HomeHelp, a charity event put on by Home nightclub on May to help raise funds for OXFAM COMMUNITY AID ABROAD and primarily to assist those affected by military action in Iraq raised $3,235. Considering the cold wind and grey skies on Sunday in Sydney with over 300 people in attendance the night can most definitely be counted a success. Home nightclub Promoter Paul Strange said today, "Home Nigthclub was happy to be involved with supporting Oxfam through the HomeHelp. After all the recent protests against the war we felt it was time that people put their money behind doing something productive! The $3,235 raised will help relief operations in Iraq such as providing clean water, sanitation, food and water to the Iraqi people in need". DJ's on the night included Jason Bye, John Devecchis, Jackster, The Rookies, Homegrown, makr Myers & Dave Goode and in the silver room Loose on 12s, Mo Funk, Smoth & Weeitchin & Mo Shrappy. It was decided at the last minute to hold a raffle rather than the much hyped auction and winners were lucky enough to find themselves the proud owners of items such as 2 VIP Mobile Home Tickets, CDs courteousy of Sony Dance, a Terrace at Home membership and other prizes. Home Nightclub would like to sincerely thank all those associated with the event for their time and input. Oxfam is delighted with the donation and a formal cheque giving ceremony will be held soon.
