  • It's been on the cards for a while now, but with the announcement from Canberra last week of the launch of Senator Meg Lees' new political party "The Australian Progressive Alliance", the crews from Republic and Private Function have decided to come together and form a progressive alliance of their own. On Saturday May 17th 2003, the Republic and Private Function parties will come together for one marathon sitting at rOOm 680 from 10pm. Throughout the night, in what is anticipated will be a landmark session, members of the Republic–Private Function Alliance will be unleashing their policies upon the community. The following members will be appearing on the evening's ballot... The Australian Progressive Alliance Luke Bowditch Vs Ganz (joint Ministers for Housing) Gavin Martin (Minister for Deep Education) Vs Sasha Petrovic (Minister for Foreign Affairs) Sean Quinn (Leader of the Party) Vs Chris Meehan (Speaker of the Progressive–House) Aaron Roach (Minister for Energy and Mayhem) Vs Dean Millson (Party Secretary) Matt Wilko, Andrew Padula and Jarrod Moran The crew behind the event have said “We are aware that some of the electorate has become disenchanted with what the other parties have to offer. This alliance has therefore been formed to bring some order to the progressive-house.” Public entry to this event will be via donation of $15 on the door.
