- The Chicago synth-pop duo will make their debut via The Nite Owl Diner next month.
Chrissy & Hawley's self-titled LP will land on Chrissy and Alex Burkat's The Nite Owl Diner on July 15th.
Chrissy—formerly known as Chrissy Murderbot—is a resident at Chicago nightclub smartbar, where RA held its first In Residence events. Hawley Shoffner is a singer and songwriter originally from Kansas. Their new duo takes influence from synth-pop, disco and retro house artists like Pet Shop Boys, Patrick Cowley and Larry Levan.
Two of their album cuts originally appeared in April on a 12-inch for Northside '82, the label founded by smartbar to showcase its residents. Now they've got a debut full-length on the way via Chrissy's label, described as "emotional dance music with catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics."
