  • Queen Constance will reissue Cloud One's Atmosphere Strut (New Disco Version - Remix - 1979) and Funky Disco Tracks soon. "Atmosphere Strut" brought the inventive Minimoog work of disco producer Patrick Adams to the forefront of the NYC underground disco scene. The release was the first on Adams' usual home, P&P Records, and the New York radio DJ Frankie Crocker broke the song, leading to an album-length debut of the same name. Peter Brown, who founded P&P, also looked after a sublabel called Queen Constance. That imprint would issue a remix of "Atmosphere Strut" in 1979 with a new vocal and a beefed-up drum track. It's been a tough find for disco diggers and will be repressed this summer. Queen Constance also issued another full-length from Adams' most well-known project, Funky Disco Tracks Of Cloud One, in 1978. Though it's not discussed as much as its predecessor, the five tunes on that one, including the 10-minute opener "Jump, Jump, Jump," are full of the epic synthesizer flights Adams is famous for.
