  • The fourth edition in Rush Hour Music's Japanese boogie series comes from Minako Yoshida. The Amsterdam label started the series in May with three 7-inches released at the same time: Ryo Kawasaki's Little One, Eri Ohno's Skyfire and Fuwari Fuwa Fuwa by Ruriko Ohgami. Now Rush Hour has dug into the archives of Minako Yoshida, pulling out two little-known tunes, "Midnight Driver" and "Town," and pressing them to 7-inch. "Midnight Driver" originally appeared on Yoshida's 1980 album Monochrome, while "Town" is plucked from 1981 LP Monsters In Town. Listen to "Midnight Driver."
