Probably the most sort after prize of a DJ competition are the gold-plated Technics which are awarded to the winner of the DMC World DJ Championships. Since its inception in 1986, many turntable heros have been born and exposed from this yearly batte which is held in 30 countries and sees around 5000 DJs entering.
The Australian heats for the competition are fast approaching as they are scheduled for July and August and will see DJs performing a 6 minute set. Last years winner DJ Selekt might not be entering the competition which would leave a rather large hole for anyone to grab the Australian crown.
