  • S U R V I V E will release their new album on Relapse and Holodeck September 30th. The group has been kicking around Texas since for the last few years, with limited releases coming via outlets like Mannequin, Light Lodge and Monofonus Press. The quartet is known for its live show, which the label describes as "towering stacks of hardware synthesizers, drum machines, effects, and amps supported by an amazing custom light show and thick, industrial amounts of fog." The band's analog soundscapes naturally themselves to film and television scores, and music from the band appeared in the 2014 movie The Guest. More recently, Members of S U R V I V E scored the Netflix original show Stranger Things. Relapse, a Philadelphia label, has signed S U R V I V E's second LP. Though they're typically associated with metal, the imprint has long worked with S U R V I V E's close peers Zombi. As usual, the band have named the album after its catalogue number. The Relapse edition, on CD and vinyl, is called RR7349, while the cassette version, released through Holodeck (operated by members of S U R V I V E), is called HD037. Listen to "A.H.B."
