This is the first time the Vestax extravaganza has branched out into the Australian and New Zealand region of the globe. This gives local turntablists yet another event to place on their calendars aside from DMC and ITF.
This year entrants from QLD, NSW, VIC, NZ and SA have been hand-selected to battle it for the chance to represent Australia/ NZ at the World Finals. All of these entrants have achieved high levels of recognition in other world-recognized competitions so this should be a battle for “the best of the best!” Competitors are Selekt (VIC), J-Red (VIC), D-Cypha (NSW), Stanley (NSW), Damage (QLD), P-Money (NZ), Reflux (SA) and Samrai (NSW). The top 3 turntablists from the recent Australian DMC titles are all featured, so expect some quality performances on the night.
