Floating Points will play live at the new Shibuya venue, which launches in September.
WWW X, a new Tokyo club, will open its doors this September.
The 600-capacity space, situated in the bustling Shibuya ward of the Japanese capital, will be housed in the same building as its parent venue, WWW. Where WWW is predominantly used as a live concert space, WWW X will seek to showcase electronic music in a club environment.
After an opening night on September 1st, Buzzin' Fly boss Ben Watt and his band, featuring Bernard Butler, are billed for two sessions on September 13th and 14th. Ninja Tune's Ash Koosha and Houndstooth's Aïsha Devi will share the evening of the 18th, before Floating Points brings his live band over for their first Japanese performance on October 7th. Looking further ahead, local artists Merzbow and Ryoji Ikeda will play on October 29th.
