  • A London fabric fan is dancing outside the doors of the closed club in an attempt to raise £2,000 for its legal fees. Tim Griffith's gofundme page explains that he's an audiovisual technician who DJs and produces in his spare time, music being his number one passion. He says "A few weeks back I made the decision to organise a 24 hour, non-stop dance outside the doors of fabric, in order to raise money to contribute towards fabric's legal fees, which the club needs to raise in order to appeal the revocation of their licence." The court date for fabric's appeal against Islington council's decision to revoke its license has been set for Monday, November 28th. An online fundraiser for the club has raked in £281,648 so far, and a series of benefit shows featuring the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Nina Kraviz and Seth Troxler will happen in October and December. If he can endure it, Griffith will dance until noon GMT tomorrow. He asks for support, especially in the final hours of his effort, but warns against illegal activity, soundsystems, or the urge to turn his campaign into a "street rave," in order to avoid being shut down. Pitchfork posted an Instagram picture of Griffith in action.
