With the first Future Breaks party with Adam Freeland just around the corner on Saturday 19 July, Future Entertainment have now released full details for the second party on Saturday August 30. The headliner will be DJ and producer Meat Katie, he who loves to mix the breaks with the tech, tribal and electro beats.
This gig will be a team effort between Future Breaks and Australian record label Stomp, who invite you not only to witness the new sound of dance music today but also the launch of Destination: Australia 002 which has been mixed by Meat Katie, and is due for CD release in September 2003 on EQ Recordings.
Playing support on the night will be EK (live). EK's recently been on tour OS, ripping it up in Budapest at the Wanted festival, and Spectrum with Terminal Head and Future Funk Squad in the UK, as well as San Francisco, LA, and San Diego. With his popularity growing EK is currently working on a full length album to be released on Sound not Scene later this year.
Also performing live will be Bionikworld, doing a 2 hour show. Riding the crest of their new debut album release, Preset 001, Australia’s freshest live act to emerge in years Bionikworld consisting of Caine, (Samples, Synths n' Tweaks,) and T-rek (Decks n’ FX & Theremin,) mix a slew of old and new sounds in an ultimate party mash up.
The main room lineup is Meat Katie, EK (live), Brewster, Lynt, and Keltec. In the frontroom will be electro and house with Bionikworld (live), Agent86, Boogs, and Luke Bowditch. The gig takes place at Room 680, and will go from 9pm through to 5am. Tickets are $28.00+ Bf abd are available at Ticketek, Central Station, Dance Arena stores and other outlets.
