  • GUSince its postponement from May, South Asia has been looking forward to the ‘ZoukOut Singapore Nokia Remix’ festival which will showcase a host of live bands and superstar DJ’s. Now set for 25 / 26 July to take the nation back into full action. Singled-out as South-East Asia's definitive outdoor dance music festival, this event will be a power-packed weekend for all to party in appreciation of the superb bill which includes DJ’s from around the world. The line-up will see Sasha, James Lavelle, Ashley Casselle, Phil K and Zouk & Phuture residents Aldrin and Tony Tay performing in the Global Underground Arena, whilst the velvet Underground Arena will host Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzales (Masters At Work), Kerri Chandler, Toshio Matsuura (UFO), Bugz in the Attic, Jeremy Boon, Brendon P and Zouk resident DJ B. The full line-up is listed below. Just as Zouk evolves and grows, this year's festival will be located on the fields of Marina Bay Waterfront, a never before used venue for such an event. Sited in the heart of mainland Singapore, the venue benifits from the amazing Singapore skyscrapers and presents a great backdrop for a dance party in an urban setting. ZoukOut Program Highlights: Day 1 Friday, 25 July - In Concert (8pm - 3am) For the first night, the mood is that of an open-air concert starting from 8pm; with performances featuring 3 superstar live acts; Dirty Vegas, Stereo MCs, Gus Gus. james lavelleDay 2 Saturday, 26 July - Dusk To Dawn Non-Stop Dance Music (7pm - 7am) There are 4 music arenas: Each playing a different genre of music throughout the night.
    Global Underground Arena: Sasha, James Lavelle, Ashley Casselle, Phil K and Zouk & Phuture residents Aldrin and Tony Tay respectively. Velvet Underground Arena: Kenny Dope Gonzales (Masters at Work), Kerri Chandler, Toshio Matsuura (UFO) and West London's Bugz in the Attic, alongside Velvet Underground Residents, Jeremy Boon, Brendon P and Zouk resident DJ B. Regional Arena: Features the many diverse sounds of electronica, each DJ from the region playing a different genre ranging from Hip Hop through to Techno. Mambo Jambo Arena: For die-hard Mambo fans, to complete the full Zouk experience away from Jiak Kim Street
    Ticket prices are cheaper in advance with the full 2-day pass costing $65 (Day 1 is $45 & Day 2 is $35), ticket prices are $10 more expensive on the door. ZoukOut Singapore are aiming to draw crowds between 15 and 20 thousand over the two day period, a scale that has never been previously attempted in Singapore. For more info hit the link below.
