Wolfgang Voigt to play live as Gas for first time since 2009

- The Kompakt cofounder has announced 2017 shows at Austria's Donaufestival and Jazzhouse in Copenhagen.
- Wolfgang Voigt will perform live as Gas in 2017. According to Kompakt, the label Voigt cofounded in 1998, the last Gas show took place seven years ago, in 2009. So far, only two dates have been confirmed—Austria's Donaufestival (April 28th through May 1st) and Jazzhouse in Copenhagen on Saturday, April 8th. The latter will form part of PROTON, a series of experimental electronic concerts run in affiliation with Odense festival Phono. Gas's return to the stage follows the October release of Box, a ten-vinyl retrospective box set on Kompakt that collected some of the ambient and dub techno artist's most influential work.
