  • A new pressing plant called Intakt! has opened in Berlin. The shop, which operates out of a warehouse in Marienfelde, will ship its first order of new vinyl in May. Intakt!'s founders, Max Gössler and Alexander Terboven, told Berliner Kurier that they're aiming to press 30,000 records a month, with a turnaround time of four weeks. Gössler and Terboven, who also organize an annual electronic music festival called Some Date, are looking to accommodate small and medium-sized labels, which must often wait months for orders due to a worldwide vinyl demand that outstrips plants' capacity. Intakt! joins Optimal Media as one of just a handful of major pressing plants in Germany.
