  • Elysia Crampton's next album, Spots Y Escupitajo, is out now via The Vinyl Factory. It's the experimental club producer's fourth album under her real name, following last year's Demon City. The LP includes eight Spots tracks, each no longer than 16 seconds, and six Escupitajo tracks of standard length. It incorporates elements of classical music in the form of longer solo compositions for piano, alongside Central and South American traditional rhythms and more abstract electronics. It's also meant to honor the chuqui chinchay, a non-gender-conforming mythical figure from the Aymara people in Bolivia, where her family has roots. Listen to two of the album tracks.
