  • Errorsmith is releasing a new album on PAN in October. The eight-track Superlative Fatigue is the German artist's first LP since 2004's Near Disco Dawn. Real name Erik Wiegand, he's been a key figure in the cross-section of experimental electronics and dance music since the late '90s and is known for his collaborations with Mark Fell, Fiedel (as MMM) and Soundstream (as Smith N Hack). Wiegand is also a respected instrument designer, most particularly for the Razor softsynth, which generated most of the sounds on Superlative Fatigue. Wiegand describes the new album as "rather accessible and cheerful" in comparison to his earlier work, much of which was marked by aggressive sound design. The productions were debuted at Unsound Festival last year and have since been developed into the double-vinyl LP, which will also be available digitally. Listen to "I'm Interesting, Cheerful & Sociable."
