  • A budding film crew are currently editing a Japanese Surfing Road movie feature film Bondi Tsunami and are putting out the call to any budding sound musicians/ DJ's out there to submit their work for consideration for the Bondi Tsunami movie soundtrack (the first Japanese surfing road movie in Australia). To give you an insight into what they are looking before, the Tsunami crew have provided the following guidelines:
We are particularly interested something with a trippy hawaiian, deserted island, soundscape feel, but will consider anything that encompasses the surrealism of the Oz landscape and the weird and wonderful ways of the Japanese. Basically something desolate, soundscapey with a bit of Yoko Ono in it! Bondi Tsunami is a psychelic road adventure that has been described as Kabuki meets, MTV, meets the wizard of Oz meets monkey magic. The film is in Japanese, it is very surreal, basically a series of music video sequences, that follow the adventures of four punked up Japanese surfers Shark, Yuto, Kimiko and Gunja man as they travel up the east coast of Oz in a 1961 EK Holden. We are about half way through editing the movie and have found that we are going to need a lot more music to finish it off.If you are keen to send in a demo CD of your work for soundtrack consideration, please send it to the below address with your contact details to: Bondi Tsunami PO BOX 1356 Neutral Bay, 2089, NSW You can also find out more info at the link below:
