  • The need for record labels to compromise and move with the ever changing global music market place has never become so important for a labels survival. A classic example of this is ‘Hooj Choons’, who although a globally respected and much admired label, had to close its doors due to the fact it didn’t forecast certain changes in the industry. The Underwater label, headed by Darren Emerson has announced that it will soon be releasing CD replica’s of all vinyl releases. Expected to be exactly the same, including printed grooves on the CD it is an exciting option for those that like the convenience of the CD. Who knows, now when at your next wedding you might here the first CD release Paul Jackson’s ‘Rock and Roll’ (Out October 20, 2003) as opposed to ABBA as the Underwater CD option finds its way into DJ Boxes and homes.
