  • Pete Namlook and Biosphere's albums as The Fires Of Ork will be reissued as a two-CD set on the latter's Biophon Records. The collaboration between the late, legendary Namlook and Norwegian mainstay Biosphere (Geir Jenssen) began in 1993, taking its name from Roy Batty's closing Blade Runner monologue, a film they sampled for their first LP. "During a two-week session in Frankfurt they composed a magnificent self-titled album, a magnum opus that ranges in tone from soothing to haunting, from dark to playful," says the press release, quoting Discogs. The album came out on Fax +49-69/450464 and the two versions of the title track were also released on an Apollo 12-inch in 1994. Namlook and Jenssen would regroup for another album released in the year 2000—The Fires Of Ork 2 is also included on the Biophon set. Read RA's profile of Biosphere.
