Johnny Jewel's next record is coming out through a Twin Peaks Kickstarter.
Ageless, a five-track EP, is available to anyone who donates $25 or more to the Kickstarter campaign for a documentary about the Log Lady from Twin Peaks. ("David Lynch is already in, so what are you waiting for?" the campaign text asks.) The title track is available for streaming now, while the rest of the digital-only EP will only be available via the Kickstarter campaign—and only if it meets its fundraising goal by midday on June 16th.
Johnny Jewel has a deep connection with Twin Peaks. He composed music for the David Lynch-directed TV show's third season, and recently released an LP of instrumental tracks that were made in part with Twin Peaks in mind. The Kickstarter campaign says that Jewel made Ageless in the midst of composing his contributions to the Twin Peaks third season soundtrack.
