  • Sheffield house don, D.Ramirez, has launched his new label, Slave Recordings, following the death of Vudu Recodings earlier this year. Ramirez, who is part of the Kingsize crew and is one half of King Fest Inc, has worked on numerous projects including remixes for Peace Division and Meat Katie plus his own solo productions that have been popping up on the latest albums including the next Bedrock Breaks album by Meat Katie. Ramirez says "Slave is going to be a vehicle for unknown artists material that I’ve been playing in my sets, as well as my own productions. I want to take a few chances and strike a balance between cracking new producers, and some older names". The first release on Slave will be a vocal-tribal number called 'Freaque On' by Ramirez which will feature Pete Simpson (J-Walks) with remixes by Seamus Haji and Argentina’s London 909. The track has already been supported by Steve Lawler, Tom Stephen and Lewis Dene.
