Renaissance Everybody in Sydney, which takes place on Saturday November 22, will be the first Renaissance event in Sydney to see the introduction of a new arena, incorporating ‘Live’ elements into what has traditionally been a DJ based event. This is to be the first in a series of live performances that Renaissance will host in the coming 2004 year.
The room will incorporate, brass instruments, samplers, MC, female lead vocalist fusing with all Sydney local DJs. We’ll be flying one vocalist up from Sydney for the event. Playing great support to Sander Kleinenberg in the main room, the Renaissance Live arena consists of:
Sneaky Sound System
These guys are just back from European tour, wooing the likes of JK from Jameroquai, and are currently promoting their new CD. The group consists of 2 DJs, an MC and sax player.
DAMN DJs
Ajax, Bumpin’ Bennie B (Ben Single) and Dan Single (owner – Stubby), Together make up DAMN, Sydney’s own likeness to fashionable 2 Many DJs. As a crew, they mix mash up electro, pop and everything in-between, combined With sampler FX and guest MCing. As a production outfit DAMN are currently working on original music for release in 2004.
Funktrust Collective
Will Styles, Learned Hand and surprise female vocalist will be forming the Funktrust collective especially for Renaissance Live.
