  • The Monolake party scheduled for December 20th at the Public Office has been long in planning, and much anticipated by those in the know and the curious. The party will feature live performances by Monolake (Germany), a legendary producer of deep spacious Cologne style techno and immersively delicate experimenta. Monolake will be doing two live performances, especially designed so you can experience both sides of his production. From 8pm till midnight, Monolake will be joined by some of Australia's finest experimental musicians. Playing with Monolake will be Steve Law, Paul Abad (Qld), Mark Harwood, Lost Time Accident and Sense. DJ Ginger Martini will hold the musical baton between acts. From midnight onwards let the dancing begin as Monolake plays a second live set of deepest minimal dancefloor tek. B(if)tek wil be playing live, then DJs Mit (Dark Network), Midget Fidget and Flex Martian (Deep Chord), and Team Slap will do what they do best and keep the funky, clicky, driving, devastating minimal sound flowin' till dawn. The event starts at 7.30pm and there'll be food available to keep you going all through the night until dawn. Presale tickets are $15 from Slap Records or Synaesthesia Records, or $20 on the door. Trying something new or get a minimal funk fix at Monolake at the Public Office!
