Following on from their intimate knees-up at Mazzo during the Amsterdam Dance Event, James Holden’s Border Community begins a quarterly residency in Amsterdam on Saturday January 24th 2004.
Holland is very close to the heart of Holden’s new Border Community venture and one of James’ favourite countries to play in, making Amsterdam the perfect city for a label night residency.
James kicks off proceedings on the 24th with an extended set and will be ably aided and abetted by 19 year old DJ and producer Petter, from Stockholm, Sweden, who made his Dutch debut at the Amsterdam Dance Event party and received glowing reports all round.
Petter can attribute much of his rapidly growing global profile to James Holden, and will release an EP on Border Community in 2003.
The Border Community parties at the Mazzo will continue every three months on the final Friday of the month, whilst in London rumour has it of something exciting a little closer to Border Community’s physical home in the UK. Watch this space.
