Seminal house label Defected Records will be be turning 5 years old in March, just in time to put on a special, over-the-top party in Miami during the WMC to celebrate. Defected has always been seen as a solid provider of tunes, and with Simon Dunmore leading the group, the future is looking brighter than ever. 2004 looks very exciting with some releases already causing a stir. Like Junior Jacks' acclaimed artist album 'Trust It' and his big dancefloor bomb 'Da Hype' (Read the Full Review). Dimitri From Paris' mix for the 'In The House' series, adds another level of style to an already quality set of compilations. And a highly anticipated collaboration between Sandy Rivera and Martin Solveig with 'Su La Terre'.
This year will be the first time Defected has hosted an event at the Winter Music Conference, and with the class venue and lineup already secured, surely will not fail to disappoint. This day event will be played in the gorgeous surrounds of the famous National Hotel, which holds an outrageously stylish 210-foot pool (see picture), which has played host to many music videos and stars. Many Defected artists will be there on the night with the music, and drinks, expected to flow for 9 hours.
