  • The ever popular Northern Ireland party, LOVE Saturdays, have hand picked a fresh new star to play the role as resident for the coming year. The lucky (and talented) DJ is 23 year old Ryan Maxwell, who will be taking on the crowds at Club Matrix when they launch in two weeks time. Ryan is no stranger to the limelight as he was nominated for Most Promising Northern Irish DJ in the BBM club awards and has been given big raps by Radio One jock Fergie. Judith Farrell-Rowan, a co-promoter of LOVE Saturdays says "It goes without saying that outstanding mixing ability was a prerequisite of the residency. But one other important attribute was musical flexibility and adaptability as we needed our DJ to be highly competent in the ways of house, techno, trance and warm up material due to the diversity of our music policy. That’s a tall order in today’s clubscene" The promoters are playing their part in finding and flushing out new talent by offering the opportunity for up and comers to play warm up sets. Other DJs set to reside regularly are Chris Davis, Gleave Dobbin, Boyd Sleator, Gerard Clarke and Ryan Blair. Also, get ready for the grand opening party as LOVE Saurdays team up with Godskitchen with a lineup that includes Ferry Corsten, Jon O'Bir, Marshall Jefferson and Ryan Maxwell.
