  • The original RenaissanceIn the beginning there was Renaissance. There was Sasha and there was Digweed. Together they created The Renaissance Masters series. And so, one label begot two masters, and these two masters begot three discs. From this line all progressive house was born. And it was good. Very good. Ten years on, the two masters Sasha and Digweed return to Renaissance for Wild In The Country. Coupling the beautiful grounds of Shugborough Hall (check out the stunning photo) with Renaissance quality production looks set to make this boutique festival a truly religious experience. One of the challenges for the night will be deciding on which artists to devote your time, with each of the three arenas:
The Wild Arena lineup: Sasha & John Digweed (Extended Set), James Zabiela, Marcus James and Dave Seaman. The Pacha Arena lineup: Derrick Carter, Yousef, Wally Lopez, Aldrin (Zouk Singapore), Sarah Main and The Scissor Sisters (Live). The Shadow Arena lineup: Infusion (Live), Jon Carter, Neneh Cherry (Dj Set), Dark Globe (Decks & Fx), Border Crossing and The Audio Bullys (Club Set).
Held on May 1 in the Staffordshire countryside the event will run from 7.00pm to 6.00am. Tickets are £35 (available from way ahead). Better still you have a bank holiday on Monday to recover and relive your experience or it gives you an extra day to continue the partying.
