This weekend will witness the end of another rare 'long-lived' club in New York that brought some of the best parties to the city since the demise of Twilo - Arc.
Lofty Endeavor. Formerly known as Vinyl, Arc will make its exit from club-land to loft-land playing catch-up to the neighboring converted loft spaces in this TriBeCa area. Not only will the city be losing the residencies of Danny Tenaglia (every Friday) and Danny Howells (last Saturday of the month), but more astonishingly, 6 Hubert – which has brought dance music to the public for well over a decade – will forever cease to exist as a club in order to house the wealthy... or so they say.
00:00:00. Was the time right for the end? Within the past several months, new clubs like Crobar, Spirit and Avaland have cropped up as the new garden of big venues spotlighting big-named DJs and one can only conjecture that a new culture of clubbing has begun. Would Arc have survived against this competition? We’ll never know. Fortunately for us, they’re going out like an atomic bomb and will even be serving alcohol throughout the weekend, so if you happen to be in the New York Metro Area this weekend, plan to check out one of these three massive closing parties:Friday, April 23.

Saturday, April 24.
12 hours after doors close, Made brings the much-anticipated ARC’S FINAL VOYAGE event with headliner Lee Burridge and the not-to-be-missed home-based brew of the 112 Crew (Bill Patrick, Dennis Rodgers and Matt Licata). Advance purchase of tickets [$25] is recommended at TicketWeb.

And finally, the doors of ARC will be opened for the last time at 6pm for The Grand Finale with a repeat appearance of the DJ who helped build ARC’s reputation to what it has become today - Danny Tenaglia.
