  • A visit from one of Holland's fasting rising DJ/ Producers, Matthew Dekay, looks certain to happen this year. The tour would mark Matthew's Australasian debut and is scheduled for September 8th to 25th. Matthew Dekay seems to be a name on the lips of pretty much everyone right now. As a recording artist for the likes of Sander Kleinenberg's Little Mountain Records, Holland's Deep Records and now his own imprint, Dekay Records, Matthew has been consistently producing club hits over the past few years and can boast such fans as varied as The Neptunes, Deep Dish, The Scumfrog, Pete Tong, Sasha, and Victor Calderone. Last year saw him shoot into the spotlight most notably behind "Beautiful Monday" and "If I Could Fly." These two slices of progressive trance heaven saw heavy rotation for much of the year from the likes of Sasha to Danny Howells to Sander Kleinenberg, who went on to subsequently sign "Higher Thoughts" which received huge support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio One. The recent Dekay remix of The Beastie Boys "Intergalactic" and yet more singles such as "Move Yo" and "Symbiosis" have furthered Matthew's developments as the most promising talent to emerge from the Netherlands in recent times. The upcoming months will see the release of one of the 2004 WMC anthems, the double A sided "Behind Secret Borders" and "God's Answer" alongside "Space Mountain Tablet" and various high profile remixes. His reputation as a DJ continues to grow with critical acclaim of his extended sets across Europe. Think Sander K meets Tiesto, and you are somewhere close to the vibe Matthew creates in a club. Matthew looks set to visit Australia after a northern summer of playing a slew of major European festivals alongside various club events.
