Sónar the advanced art and music festival set to rock Barcelona in June (17,18,19) is serving up a sneak peak of the action to come. And you don’t need a plane ticket to check it out!

SonarClub will be hitting Ocean in London (Hackney) on June 4 and bringing with it a wave of hot artists you can expect to check out at the festival. Exploring the musical frontiers of techno, electro, unorthodox hip-hop and synth pop, the night will give you a glimpse into the eleven years of innovation for which Sónar is renowned.

Headlining Ocean 1 is the exhibitionist and techno don Jeff Mills. He will be joined by Ukrainian electro wizard Vitalic performing live, the man behind the cranking tune ‘la rock’ championed by 2 Many DJs. RJD2 will be taking to 4 decks with visuals showcasing his unique style of hip-hop. Completing the rooms line up will be Spanish beats and breaks master DJ 2D2.

Meanwhile in Ocean 2 you can catch Andy Fletcher from Depeche Mode selecting the best sounds from the 80’s. Richard X will have you shaking your ass to some booty tracks. Serving up the ‘so hot right now’ sounds of Brazil is DJ Marlboro. Finally DJ Food the charismatic artist off Ninja Tune will be mixing it up.

Doors open at 8.30pm and you get all this action for £13.50 (advanced tickets). Ocean, Hackney Central, (270 Mare Street, Hackney, London, E8). Box Office 0845 070 1571
